As the youngest representative team in the Prince George Youth Baseball Association, the Roga Contracting Knights have their eyes wide open.
For many of the 9- and 10-year-old players, the tournament they are about to begin will be their first time competing for a provincial title. If the Knights aren't successful, it won't be because of a lack of effort.
"These kids have been practicing four or five times a week now for a few weeks, playing a lot of games, and learning at an incredible rate," said head coach Jason Schwing, who takes the Knights to Rutland for the 10-team mosquito division (1999 and 2000 birth years) tournament.
