Two Glenview Elementary School leadership students filled in the blanks of a simple math equation to put food on the table for some hungry folks.
In the leadup to Christmas vacation, which started Friday afternoon, Jonathan McLeod and Jevaugh Simpson went out of their way to help stock the Salvation Army Food Bank.
In their three-week campaign they leaned on the families of Glenview students to contribute $5 for the food bank. Considering each $5 donation earned the school one of the Salvation Army’s “Teaming Up for the Community” signs, the $383.75 total raised earned 76 signs for Glenview.
McLeod and Simpson were presented their signs this week in the school yard.
