A long-running outbreak of COVID-19 at Jubilee Lodge is over, Northern Health said Thursday.
First declared in mid-December, the outbreak claimed the lives of 17 residents.
"Northern Health thanks Jubilee Lodge families and residents for their patience, cooperation and support in recent weeks – and extends its deep condolences to the families, friends and caregivers of residents who have passed away in the past several weeks," the agency said in a statement.
Social visits have been allowed to resume but visitors are urged to follow strict COVID-19 prevention protocols and to contact Jubilee Lodge ahead of time to arrange visits.
On Wednesday, an outbreak at internal medicine unit at University Hospital of Northern British Columbia was declared over.
