If you see a plume of dark smoke from the airport on Wednesday, there's no need to panic.
Fire training is scheduled for the day, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.,
"These fires are held in self-contained training facilities under controlled circumstances and are part of ongoing recurrent fire training and certification," Prince George Airport Authority spokesperson Lindsay Cotter said in a statement.
"These fires may produce dark smoke in and around the airport area which has, in
the past, caused concern from local residents resulting in increased call volumes to
your agencies."
