A gun was seized and four people were arrested when RCMP converged on a Hart area motel on Saturday morning.
In response to a weapons-related report just before 8 a.m., frontline officers and a police service dog team attended the Frankfurt Motel in the 3400 block of Highway 97 and uncovered a loaded handgun and ammunition in one of the rooms.
One of the occupants, a 33 year old man, was found to be wanted on previous firearms related charges dating back to August 2019.
The three other people, a 28 year old female, 27 year old female and a 26 year old male, were all released without charge pending further investigation.
Names were not released.
