A local man pleaded guilty Thursday to reckless discharge of a firearm in relation to a shooting last year in the parking lot of an apartment building.

It's expected counts against Jamie Wade Fatum, 25, of attempted murder, pointing a firearm and unauthorized possession of a firearm will be stayed upon sentencing at a later date.

Fatum has remained in custody since his arrest shortly after RCMP were called during the early morning of April 29, 2016 to the scene near 17th and Upland.

RCMP said they found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound and was taken to hospital.

Other than to say a shot was discharged into a vehicle, no details were provided during a brief hearing in B.C. Supreme Court at the Prince George courthouse.
