Ramsay, Beckett on NCLGA executive

Prince George and the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George are well represented on the newly-elected board and executive of the North Central Local Government Association. The NCLGA, which advocates on behalf of local governments in northern B.C.

Prince George and the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George are well represented on the newly-elected board and executive of the North Central Local Government Association.

The NCLGA, which advocates on behalf of local governments in northern B.C., held its annual general meeting on July 3.

Regional District of Fraser-Fort George director Lara Beckett remains on the executive team as the past president, while Prince George city councillor Cori Ramsay took on the position of first vice president. Ramsay previously served as the second vice president.

Fraser Lake Mayor Sarrah Storey was acclaimed as president of the organization for the year.

“Building on the actions implemented by my predecessors, my primary focus as president will be to work with the executive, board and the membership to enhance alignment and advocate for solutions based on the issues and opportunities identified in the 2020 NCLGA resolutions," Storey said in a press release. "I look forward to collaboratively creating new synergies that are linked to actions on issues that matter to communities throughout north and central British Columbia”

Regional District of Fraser-Fort George director Dannielle Alan continues to serve as an appointed representative on the board.
