City crews are cleaning up a water main break on Southridge Avenue near O'Grady Road.
The water main in the College Heights area broke on Wednesday morning, causing most of the Vista Ridge subdivision to lose water service.
The 25-centremetre iron water main was installed in 1993.
The city expects to have water flows returned later today.
Southridge Avenue remains open, but has been reduced to single-lane, alternating traffic. The city is urging drivers to take alternative routes, where possible.
