A suspicious death in a Prince George neighbourhood early Saturday morning has prompted a police investigation.
At about 4:45 a.m. Saturday, Prince George RCMP were called to a residence in the 1100 block of PG Pulpmill Road after receiving a report of a disturbance and front line officers found one person dead at the scene.
“There is one deceased at this time and the investigation is still ongoing,” said Prince George RCMP spokesperson Cst. Jennifer Cooper. “Frontline members who were working last night got a call to a disturbance at that residence but no information was given as to the nature of that disturbance. We’re just not releasing any details yet.”
The RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Services were deployed to the investigation.
“This appears to be an isolated incident and the public is not at risk,” said Cooper.

If police determine this is a homicide it would be third for Prince George this year.
On Jan. 1, less than two hours into the new year, the RCMP were called to a house in the 2800 block of 15th Avenue, where a 50-year-old man was found dead.
On Jan. 28 at 8 a.m., police found a man who had died of his injuries in a snowbank in a College Heights neighborhood in the 8200 block of Domano Boulevard.
The identities of the deceased in either case has not been released. No arrests have been made in either incident.
