Douglas Leo Cullen.
Born on December 6, 1953 and passed away on March 23, 2021.
It is with great sadness that the family of Douglas Leo Cullen, resident of Mackenzie, B.C., announces his passing at age 67 after a brief illness at University Hospital of Northern BC (UHNBC) in Prince George.
A native of Johnville, N.B., Doug was a hardworking and well-respected electrician for more than 40 years.
He loved music, history and geography and the changing colours of the autumn maple leaves.
His favourite pastimes included having spirited debates with anyone who would engage him, going for country drives, picking fiddleheads in the spring and spending time with his beloved westie, Molly.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Marla, and his children Jason, Beth-Ann (Monty) and Jennifer (Jared).
He will also fondly remembered by grand-children Jenny Lynn, Nicole, Kori, Angelee, Jaidenne, Stephanie, Brandilyn, Kathryn and Nathaniel, and great-grandchildren Kaleb, Rylee and Theo.
In addition, he is survived by his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Doug was predeceased by his parents Frances and Peter Cullen of Johnville, N.B., brothers Emery, John and Joe, as well as his eldest daughter and light of his life, Jo-Ann Frances Cullen who passed in 2008.
He is rejoicing to be “Crocodile Rocking” with her once again in heaven.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, no funeral will be held at this time. A celebration of Doug’s life will be scheduled for a later date.
