March 12, 1960 - April 5, 2025
We are devastated to announce the tragic passing of Lowell Jeffery Dumonceaux on April 5, 2025. Lowell was born on March 12, 1960, in New Westminster, BC, to Romeo and Barbara Dumonceaux. He grew up in Surrey, BC, and moved to Prince George in 1976. Lowell married his high school sweetheart, Grace in 1982. He had a dedicated 37-year career working for BC Tel/Telus, retiring in 2015. After retiring, he devoted himself to caring for his in-laws and his grandchildren. Lowell embraced his role as a grandfather, and occupied his time exploring with his grandkids, catching up with friends, and spending as much time as possible at his happy place, “the lake” (Cluculz Lake). Lowell was a remarkable husband, an extraordinary dad, and an even better grampa.
Lowell is predeceased by his infant son, Shawn Roy; mother, Barbara Dumonceaux; mother-in- law, Carol Maxwell; and father-in-law, Herbert Maxwell.
Survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Grace; his devoted children, Lauren (Cody) Apps, Adam (Hannah) Dumonceaux; and his cherished grandchildren, Brynlee and Bentley Apps, and Isabel and Noah Dumonceaux. He also leaves behind father, Romeo (Connie); twin brother, Llewellyn (Debbie); siblings Calvin, Dixie-Lee, Miles, and Desi Dumonceaux; brother-in-law Shawn Maxwell; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and cherished friends both past and present.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Cluculz Lake Volunteer Fire Department for their service as first responders.
A celebration of Lowell’s life will be arranged with the date to be determined.
