A definite Quirk of fate

Congratulations to your newspaper for reporting the article about the football match between Atletico and Fulham in the Europa League final.

Congratulations to your newspaper for reporting the article about the football match between Atletico and Fulham in the Europa League final.

It was exciting and remarkable to read about the match from somewhere some five or six thousand miles away from Fulham in England.

My 92-year-old brother Albert Brighton, who is living in Prince George is a regular reader of your paper and is still a very keen supporter of Fulham football club, as are the rest of our family since we were born in Fulham.

It was especially surprising to see the article in the paper since soccer is not played in Canada very much (I think baseball is one of Canada's big games, however.)

I thank you very much for reporting the match and bringing pleasure to many English people; the small cutting from your newspaper will be shared by many Fulham fans in the grounds of Craven Cottage.

One of my sons travels from Cambridge to Fulham to watch the home games some 60 to 70 miles away.

With all good wishes to The Prince George Citizen, staff and readers.

Yours very sincerely,

Bill and Jean Quirk
