Bigotry remains at Ness Lake Bible Camp

I am responding to the Nov. 29 article on the changes in policy at the Ness Lake Bible Camp. An unnamed member is quoted as saying "we think Christians and LGBTQ can live together. We would ask others to be respectful of who we are.

I am responding to the Nov. 29 article on the changes in policy at the Ness Lake Bible Camp.

An unnamed member is quoted as saying "we think Christians and LGBTQ can live together. We would ask others to be respectful of who we are."

I find this comment offensive. In my opinion, the attitude of the camp has not changed. I think they still see the LGBTQ as separate. I have a number of friends in the LGBTQ community who are Christians, as am I.

Many of the mainstream churches not only accept LGBTQ in their midst but also as their leaders. I do not think that School District 57 should consider returning to the Ness Lake Bible Camp while this type of prejudice is still prevalent.
