C’mon Citizen give your head a shake

I would like to express my dismay with the front page photos in Monday's paper.

I would like to express my dismay with the front page photos in Monday's paper. In the past, I have looked at photos the citizen has published of accident victims being cared for by paramedics, and thought how violated I would feel if that was me or my family. In my opinion they were questionable choices at best, heartless reporting at worst.

Your front page photos of the "Gunned down" victim really take the cake though. This young man has a family somewhere.

How would you feel if you saw photos of your murdered child published? Do you really believe that blurring his face makes these photos acceptable?

I have children in my home and I know they do not want to be faced with these kinds of photos and neither do I.

My daughter, who picked the paper up from the front yard on Monday, took it straight to the recycling bin because of the pictures. What are you thinking by publishing photos of a dead person?

This is stooping pretty low and reeks of sensationalism. What next, will The Citizen start publishing photos of local people who have died from terminal diseases? Come on now, give your head a shake and use some common sense and integrity!
