On June 14, a search and rescue operation was carried out to locate three hikers in Sugarbowl-Grizzly Den.

As the respective families, we would like to extend our sincerest thanks to all parties involved.

Firstly, we would like to thank Bruce Chambers and crew from P.G. Search and Rescue, the Robson Valley Search and Rescue, and RCMP constables Trevor Hurley, Ryan Drohomereski, and Leo Rojaf, as well as their search dog units.

We would also like to thank the RCMP Air-4 Kamloops division, the Aberdeen and Yellowhead helicopters, and park rangers Dave Meritt, Rick Roos, and Peter Geotz.

Additional thanks to the Industrial Forest Service crew for clearing helicopter pads, and to the amateur radio club for both aiding in communications and monitoring the surrounding roadways with ATVs.

We would also like to thank Nelson and Anita Malcolm for contacting the RCMP and search and rescue.

Finally, we would like to extend special thanks to Jeff Smedley, PGSAR president, who accompanied us in the initial search and followed the operation throughout its entirety.

The determination and professionalism of all those involved was admirable.

Thank you.
