The North Cariboo SPCA is in desperate need of foster parents for the many kittens, puppies, cats and dogs finding their way into the shelter. We need homes that will welcome under age kittens and puppies, moms with nursing litters, and ill and injured animals. A normal foster runs between two and eight weeks depending upon the needs of the animal. The SPCA provides food, medicine, vet care and all supplies. A 24 hour emergency number is also provided along with advice and support.
Last year we had over 500 animals in foster care. Our need is even more urgent this year. I say this every time, but it is true: foster parents save lives. Without our fosters, too many animals would not have a second change. If you have time, a quiet indoor space and love, please consider fostering. To apply, fill out the application form at http://www.spca.bc.ca/branches/north-cariboo/ or stop by the shelter on Landsdowne Road.
