Giede 'fights for freedom'

Last Friday there was a letter printed entitled "Giede should look to Islamic State, China for inspiration." I credit Nathan for his wisdom in his reply and well thought out it was. "Simplicity is the result of profound thought.

Last Friday there was a letter printed entitled "Giede should look to Islamic State, China for inspiration."

I credit Nathan for his wisdom in his reply and well thought out it was.

"Simplicity is the result of profound thought."

He credits those who have still consciously chosen not to drop off the deep end into nihilism, absurdism or some other still wholly unsatisfactory philosophy.

After I saw the title of the letter, I lost interest in reading the article. We Canadians feel our country with its freedoms are being threatened and all that has been accomplished here was done with the freedom of not having a gun over us is as many others such as those in Cuba, whom so many came to the defense of a ruthless dictator.

Thousands would like to make Canada their home as well as the U.S. but there are thousands more that would like to see what we have destroyed and occupied by only them. Look to Islamic State extremists and China for inspiration? I think not. I don't like their example or record of treatment of their own people.

We need to get our own house in order democratically, love, loyalty and respect it to secure its freedom for our present generations and those to come. Ask a veteran what they fought for!

Nathan Giede fights for freedom and his country, no matter how hard he gets punched.
