Over the last several days, Prince George had the honour of hosting one of Time Magazine's top 100 most influential people in the world, and also hailed as "America's most remarkable success story", Dr. Temple Grandin.

Dr. Grandin, Colorado State's Professor of Animal Sciences, is also one of the world's leading experts on autism spectrum disorder. She's determinedly worked her way to the top, and is rewarded with a highly successful life and career, notwithstanding being autistic herself.

In two sessions Monday, addressing an audience of 900-plus, Dr. Grandin passionately shared her wisdom and insight on living on the autism spectrum.

Being one who attended this phenomenal opportunity, I'd like to gratefully acknowledge the organizations who brought Dr. Grandin here.

Kudos to Northern Health, School District 57 (Prince George), Aimhi, The Child Development Centre, The Nechako Valley Cattlemen's Assn, FARSHA, Skeena Regional Cattlemen, Investment Agriculture Foundation of B.C., and Clear Sailing Dog Sports. Your collaborative efforts supported many, including families, health care, education and community support staff alike.

Stepping up makes you true community champions, and I thank you.
