If I can reiterate her data, in 14 years, i.e. since 1996, the ministry's funding towards the school district's operations has risen 32 per cent. From the U.S. Department of Energy files, the price of gasoline is shown to have risen from $.37 a litre to $.74 a litre in that same time period.
That's a 100 per cent increase. I'm reasonably certain that I could pick any other item from the school district's budget and find it has risen similarly. When is the ministry going to fund education properly instead of hiding behind a wall of nonsensical percentage stats?
It's a whole other question why I'm paying $1.05 a litre compared to $.74 in the states.
