Does anyone know when the old provincial government buildings on the former HBC lands, which made up the original Fort George Park (a BC Centennial project in 1957/58) and are now Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park - were torn down or moved?
These buildings, which included a government office, jail, and courtroom, were abandoned in favor of the former Alexandra Hotel on Brunswick and Third. Plans to build a lumber mill/pulp mill on the site collapsed in early 1927. Any help would be warmly appreciated. I can be reached at [email protected].
