It has been almost two years since I was involved in a motor vehicle accident on Highway 16 west near the top of the Cluculz Lake hill. I am looking for the man who saved my life so I can thank him in person. If he had not stopped and called 911, I would never have been found. Although the accident resulted in spinal injuries, I knew that I was lucky to be alive. I spent several months at the G.F. Strong Rehab Centre in Vancouver learning how to adjust to a life as a paraplegic.
I would like to thank the paramedics and the nurse who took care of me at the scene and Dr. Steven Chang and the Emergency Room nurses at the UNHBC for their care the night of this accident (Oct. 6, 2008). I would also like to thank the ambulance crew and Air Ambulance team who flew me to Vancouver at dawn on Oct. 7, 2008.
If the man who stopped at the scene reads this, please contact me at the number listed below. I would like to talk to you to express my thanks for calling 911 and also for calling my mom. You are truly my saviour, and I would not be alive if you had not stopped.
With heartfelt thanks,
Todd Addie
