Mayor looks like a bully

I watched the council meeting on June 27. Too bad it was not required viewing for all residents in Prince George. I watched our mayor force reconsideration of an issue that had the support of the majority of council.

had the support of the majority of council.

I can't help but think that a couple of councillors were bullied into voting the way he wanted all under the guise of good government.

His reasons behind these bully tactics were that two councillors did not have their say, which even if they had at the previous meeting, would not have impacted the outcome as there still would have been a majority vote.

And as far as confusion about the issue, it resides with him as he was the one that was responsible for the concessions that muddied the waters at the earlier meeting only because it was not going the way he wanted it to.

I really do feel for some of the council, not only do you have to try and please all the residents which you will never be able to do, there will always be some that do not agree with your decisions.

But you obviously have to go along with the mayor because if he doesn't get his way he will just use his power and bring up a reconsideration vote and put in as many roadblocks as he deems necessary so that all concerned vote his way.

And all the while keep stating that this process is just good government.

This is not something you should be proud of Dan Rogers.
