No joking matter

We attended the Big Blue Ball and were given a small bag with two golf balls in it. It didn't take much imagination to understand what this represented and some other things were done that made a joke of problems related to prostate cancer.

To me this was not a joking matter and I found it offensive to someone like myself who has suffered with this type of cancer.

As there was no cancer clinic in Prince George at that time, I had to go to Kelowna for treatment. It was very costly to us as I spent two months there and had 37 radiation treatments.

My cancer is cured, but the radiation did leave me with problems that will stay with me for the rest of my life.
