This morning you reprinted an editorial from the east coast Charlottetown Guardian which, in passing, advanced the premise that even "die-hard critics" of the Vancouver Olympics would now concede that the three-week snow party was a worthy investment.

Not so, at all. Every cut and closure in our schools all over B.C., not to mention the poor performance of winter tourism outside the Lower Mainland, says the opposite.

I am one die-hard who is convinced more and more that this transfer payment from the rest of us to B.C.'s richest region is about as pea-brained an investment as we could have made with our tax dollars.

Am I alone in this?
