As the former owner of a less than reliable vehicle, I take offense to Ms. Hermanson's suggestion that the citizens of P.G. are at all selfish or unhelpful. Over a period of a month or so last year, my old vehicle had various problems, and I often found myself stranded.
Every single time, someone offered assistance - and whether it was simply checking up on me, offering me jumper cables, or actually helping me and my friends push my car back to my apartment, the citizens of P.G. left me with a far more positive impression.
