Councillor Skakun found guilty and gets a fine of less than $1,000. Once again, money being wasted. Could the City of Prince George not looked into this a bit more before wasting so much money.
Maybe the Citizen can find out how much this trial cost. I think it would have repaved several roads and helped pay for another hockey arena. I personally like Mayor Rogers, but I have to wonder about the people advising him.
I will say it again, that this is our money you are wasting and it is easy to do so when there are no immediate consequences.
Sure what Skakun did was wrong, but it wasn't worth the money to bring it to trial. You don't worry about money because we have just seen how you handle it. You raise our taxes.
