Thank you P.G., you helped me grow up

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the City of Prince George. For the better part of 20 years I was a stoned drunk, careless and reckless with my words. I cared little about most things and had no boundaries vocalizing this.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the City of Prince George. For the better part of 20 years I was a stoned drunk, careless and reckless with my words. I cared little about most things and had no boundaries vocalizing this.

Prince George taught me the value of life's simple things like a warm bed, a hot supper, and most importantly who my friends are.I now take time for my family and can do it without a beer or a toke.I still like my beer and I'm sure I always will though times that are limited to not all day every day.

Prince George also confirmed something my mother warned me about.

Rich men play rich men's games.I dated a very popular, very wealthyman. Yes, he did spend quite a bit of money on me and helped my daughter with three little kids onseveral occasions.

His words about our argumentscaused me much grief amongst people whom don't know better. Our disagreements were our business not yours no matter what was said between us or who he was to you. However, he did go to his grave knowing whathe owed. His repeatedwordscaused me much grief and created too many enemies to stay in P.G. safely. Heconfirmed my beliefsthat money helps, but italonecannot buy happiness. I believe, hebelieved as long as he was spending money I should be happy.

Your city taught me to appreciatewhat I believe is a good man.

Some of the other things Prince George taught me was not to allow people to put words before me and to do my very best to say what I mean.I still have trouble with this one but thank you for making me try.

Your city has shown meto try and be all I can be.

Your city taught me to appreciatewhat I believe is a good man. I never did in the past.

Once again, thank youPrince George for showing me where home is. It is in the fresh smelling air where at this time of the year one can enjoythe fragrance of the sap beginning to flow through the poplars, where there are many song birds and apost card setting, where I learnedto be a cowgirl, and the fishing is astounding.

A very special thank you to little Deb, Jeff and Dr. Frye on the third floor of PGRH for their dedicated guidance and compassion.
