Despite all evidence to the contrary and just when we thought that the term "Liberal Representative" was an oxymoron we find out there was indeed one. "Was" being the operative word. Finding a Liberal MLA that represents his/her constituent's wishes is a daunting task these days, right up there with capturing a Unicorn.
I admire Mr. Lekstrom for resigning from a party that does not represent the electorate, for his intestinal fortitude, and for doing the honest thing. I also envy his constituents for having a representative that actually honours the views of the people he represents.
Read our lips "B.C. voters don't want the HST." Referendum or recall. 710,000 voters with no representation will be heard and despite appearances we do have a memory. We will remember how we were ambushed with this tax.
