Although we are a bit early or late as it may come for National Volunteer Appreciation Day, I would like to acknowledge one of our more recent, but now deceased, volunteers - Michael Moffat.
It is with heartfelt wishes bestowed to the Michael Moffat family, as they deal
with the profound loss of the multi-talented, shy, "future model in the fashion world."
Michael was "pleasantly prodded" into becoming a male model for the April 2015 fashion show I was responsible for. Although hesitant at first; Michael thrust forward with a nervous caution as he stepped into the "modeling world." The moment he stepped onto the floor, and did his "high step" as he floated round the modelling space, Michael became an instant hit with all the ladies.
Michael's adorable ways was received with delight and genuine pleasure of having met this shy, polite, multi-talented and well-educated young man.
Michael enjoyed the library, bike riding skiing, hiking. He attained excellent grades in university - as well as having good insight of his community and surroundings.
Michael's short time with Handy Circle Resource Society was appreciated. He was
an asset in assisting me with various computer setups necessary to make my work
easier re the 2015 fashion show.
He will be greatly missed by all who had the opportunity and pleasure of not only
meeting him but also working with him.
Michael would have an inspiration model for today's youth.
