Why Trump will make a good president

He has an honest desire to improve the country.

His track record as a successful business person is proven.

He outfoxed the media with his acting during the campaign. As a result they provided free exposure and advertising for him. Because of this, he spent one third as much money as Clinton. The media was naive enough to believe his buffoonery and forgot he is also an actor.

He owes no one any favours, having paid his own way and did not rely on the Soros and Saudi Arabias of this world to provide funding for him. As a result he owes no one any favours

Contrary to gleeful reports he has never been bankrupt. He has bought bankrupt companies and turned them into going concerns.

He plans on working at running the country full time and not be globe trotting on vacation, as has been the policy in the past.

He is not in it for the money, having said that he will accept $1 per year salary.

He has no intentions, nor could he deport legal immigrants. In deporting illegals, he would simply be upholding the law. The wall that be proposes is probably overdue since the border is a sieve and Mexico has no intentions of improving that situation.

Halting the flow of refugees from terrorist regions without proper background investigation is enforcing the law, makes sense and is long overdue and not only in the U.S. but in Canada as well.

Trump started his campaign with no backing from anyone, banks, corporations, media or even the Republican framework. Furthermore, he faced open hostility from the media and the Republican Party. Yet he achieved the goal that intended to. Who can see a downside to this achievement? This is the kind of leader that America and Canada needs.

It is unfortunate that there are those who can't accept the election results and want replays until they win. We just celebrated Remembrance Day where we paid tribute to the soldiers who fought for our rights. They did not fight so that only a certain faction of the citizenry could be in charge. They fought so that we could have free democratic elections where every eligible citizen had a say and not just those who consider themselves more worthy. The protesters exemplify the rabble who are doing the same in the Arab countries.

It's time they realize that they have been trumped!
