Williams Lake Mounties are investigating a death while the North District Major Crime Unit is investigating two homicides — one in 100 Mile House and one in Valemount.

Police in Williams Lake were called to a location on Seventh Avenue North near the Save-On-Foods after a dead man was found. In a press release, the RCMP state the man was found at 7 a.m. on Saturday, March 9. Williams Lake RCMP has not stated the case is a homicide.

"The police are asking for any member of the public that was in that area between March 8 at 5 p.m. and March 9 at 7 a.m. to contact police if they observed anything unusual," states Cst. Joel Kooger in the release.

Meanwhile, the North District Major Crime Unit has been called to two murders that were reported on Sunday, March 10.

RCMP were called around 10 a.m. in 100 Mile House to reports a man had been shot in a residence on Cedar Street that was well known to police.

When police and the ambulance service arrived they found the man was already deceased. In a press release, RCMP say there is no reason the greater public is at risk following the incident.

Later on March 10, around 11 a.m. in Valemount, police received information about a 60-year-old deceased male. Upon investigation, police have confirmed they are investigating it as a homicide.

It's unknown if the incidents are related to each other.
