A 5.2 magnitude Alberta earthquake on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025 that took place at 8:41 MST could be felt in Prince George, BC.

Sitting at the computer, the monitor gave a little wave action this morning at about 7:42 a.m.

The Citizen building went through a crescendo of creaks before it settled down.

According to Earthquakes Canada, the earthquake was reported at a 5.2 magnitude and was lightly felt in Edson, Grand Prairie, Whitecourt in Alberta and Prince George, BC.

Details are that it occurred at 8:41:05 MST (7:41:05 Pacific), at latitude 54.34 North, longitude 118.56 West, which is about 62 km north east of Grand Cache and its depth was 5 km.
