Accountant honoured

Prince George chartered accountant Sheila Nelson, has been elected to the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia (ICABC) for the 2010/11 Council year.

Prince George chartered accountant Sheila Nelson, has been elected to the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia (ICABC) for the 2010/11 Council year.

Nelson is a tax partner at Chan Foucher LeFebvre LLP, and this is her second term on the Council.

"Sheila, our representative of CAs in the North, is a leader in her community and within the profession, and we are fortunate to have her expertise on Council," said Peter Norwood, FCA, President of the ICABC. "We look forward to working with her over the coming year."

Nelson became a CA in 1985, but left public practice in 1988, to work in both the aircraft and service industry as a controller. She moved to Prince George in 1996 and joined a national CA firm, where she specialized in providing taxation services to small and medium sized businesses. In September 2005, she was admitted into the partnership of Chan Foucher LeFebvre LLP.
