BC Bus North is ensuring riders know there are no changes as of now due to COVID-19.

"We know transportation is a lifeline for many people, to get to work, medical appointments or to pick up groceries or medications," a release says.

"It is important that this service continues."

BC Bus North operates four major routes across northern B.C. including:

  • Prince George to Prince Rupert
  • Prince George to Fort St. John
  • Prince George to Valemount
  • Dawson Creek to Fort Nelson

These routes stop in and serve residents of over 30 communities in the region.

The company has implemented new social distancing procedures on coaches and for passengers and staff.

They add they've also increased cleaning protocols.

"To regular cleaning, BC Bus North has introduced stringent protocols, and increased sanitization and disinfection practices in our facilities and on our buses," the release adds.

"Additionally, BC Bus North has launched an extensive educational campaign on safety and hygiene for employees and passengers."

"Rest assured that BC Bus North is committed to the continued support of the transportation needs of the people and communities of Northern BC, for as long as it is safe to do so."
