UPDATE: Power restored to more than 1,100 BC Hydro customers west of Prince George

A separate outage still exists in the Hart region

Power is back to more than 1,100 BC Hydro customers living in Bednesti.

BC Hydro says the outage began at 11:17 a.m. this morning (Dec. 13) and crews have since restored connection to those homes west of Prince George.

However, a separate outage is still in place in the Hart region of the city with under 200 customers currently in the dark.

The cause of that incident is under investigation, affecting homes west of Landooz Road, south of Turner Road and north of Fraser Flats Road.

12:05 p.m.

Crews are on-site at a power outage west of Prince George.

BC Hydro is reporting an outage affecting more than 1,100 of its customers in the Bednesti area around Highway 16.

Its cause is still under investigation, taking place south of Takla Forest Road, north of Upper Mud River Road, west of Blackwater Road and east of Telachick Road.

The outage began at 11:17 a.m. this morning (Dec. 13) and the company is anticipating power to be restored within the hour.
