Mounties in Prince George are being investigated after a man complained of injuries after being arrested.

On Feb. 28 at approximately 11:50 a.m., Prince George RCMP attempted to perform a traffic stop on a vehicle at Fifth Ave. near Ruggles Street.

Prince George RCMP say the man's vehicle was involved in a collision with the marked police vehicle and attempted to take off on foot.

An officer was able to apprehend the suspect.

Shortly after his arrest, the man complained of pain and after visiting a hospital, it was reported he had suffered a broken arm.

The IIO was notified by Prince George RCMP at the time and is continuing an investigation in order to determine if there were any connections between the injuries and the officer's actions or inactions.
