A search warrant to check out theft of hydro on East Beaverly Road led Prince George RCMP to a marijuana grow operation on July 2nd.

With a second search warrant in hand, police discovered and seized 1,117 marijuana plants along with a significant amount of Canadian cash and related grow equipment in a 13,000 block residence.

Street value of the marijuana would be about $139,600.

Police also located a hydro bypass and with the assistance of B.C. Hydro, the power to the residence was disconnected.

RCMP arrested a 47-year-old female from Surrey, B.C. and the investigation is ongoing as police are looking into the identities of other suspects involved.
