New year, new potential winners and a new format thanks to the global pandemic.
The Prince George Chamber of Commerce (PGCC) announced its nominees for the 2020 Business Excellence Awards this week, and, due to COVID-19 gathering restrictions, the winners will be unveiled via local television on Thanksgiving Day (Oct. 12).
This is the 35th annual event for the PGCC, which honours local businesses, charities and other organizations for their contributions to the community in the last year.
The nominees are listed in the following categories:
- Business Person of the Year
- Service Excellence Award, Environmental Leadership
- Micro Business of the Year, Top Workplace Culture
- Excellence in Food & Beverage, Remarkable Visitor Experience
- Top Indigenous Owned Business
- Top Non-Profit/Charity
- Top Marketing Campaign
- Support PG Award (New)
