If you like to get outside in every season of the year for recreational activity, then Prince George officials are hoping to hear your feedback.
Today (Nov. 12), the city began a public outreach that’s centred around the subject of local programming when it comes to enhancing the quality of life.
The Community Recreation and Well-being survey’s goal is to deliver ‘more effective, efficient and equitable’ ways for residents to enjoy the outdoors and programs kickstarted by non-profit organizations.
According to City Senior Manager of Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships Chris Bone, Prince George’s current model has not been reviewed since 1993.
“The Community Recreation/Well-being Survey is part of a comprehensive project to assess if changes to the current model of community support, [...] are required to help ensure residents can access the recreation and well-being services that are important to them,” said Bone in a news release.
“Information collected will help inform decisions about how the City can best allocate existing human and financial resources to help ensure community organizations receive the kinds of supports they need to remain viable and responsive.”
The survey will be open for residents for the next month until Dec. 11.
