You might run into a few small delays on Prince George roads in the next week when road rehabilitation projects get underway.

The city says nighttime paving is set to begin, with preparations starting later this week at George Street between First and Sixth Avenues.

It adds milling operations will also be starting this week on Third Avenue between Quebec and George Streets.

Work will be done during nighttime hours starting at 7 p.m.

Two road rehabilitation operations are also starting this week at high-traffic intersections and are also being done at night to cut down on disruption to businesses and motorists.

The two intersections involved are:

  • Massey Drive and Westwood Drive
  • O'Grady Road and Domano Boulevard

The city estimates the work will be done by the week of June 24, but dates are subject to change depending on weather conditions.

Sidewalk construction has also started to install new curbs as well as gutters at Patricia Boulevard prior to the repaving of the sidewalk along the road.

Construction has also started on a new sidewalk located along Queensway from Connaught Drive to lower Patricia Boulevard.

During the work, streetlights will be relocated and irrigated, and are estimated to take two weeks.
