The College of New Caledonia (CNC) is seeking feedback to help shape its next five years.

Over the last year, the Prince George post-secondary has been developing its strategic plan to set a direction for the future.

In June 2020, it launched a public engagement process using key findings from those months of consultation it has identified four key areas of focus.

CNC is now asking for participants to provide their perspectives on these priorities in a new online survey open until Jan. 20.

CNC’s Board of Governors identified the following key areas of focus for the strategic plan:

  • Learning that takes place over a person’s lifetime
  • Education and training that is innovative and relevant to CNC’s communities
  • An organization that is sustainable
  • Community and partnerships

“We’re thankful to everyone who participated in the consultation process that helped shape these four areas of focus,” said CNC President Dr. Dennis Johnson in a news release.

“It’s vital our roadmap for the next five years include the voice and vision of the community in the development process.”

Work is set to continue on the new strategic plan over the next few months, the release adds.

Small working groups comprised of students, employees, and community members, will explore each of the four focus areas and identify the paths CNC must take to ensure these goals are successful throughout the next five years.

You can find the survey online.
