Saanich police have confirmed that the couple found dead in their Cadboro Bay home on Tuesday were victims of a murder-suicide, the Victoria Times-Colonist has reported.
Police also confirmed the victims were husband and wife Erich Mueller, 72, and Kathy Mueller, 66.
Kathy Mueller had been a trustee on Prince George school board and Erich was an engineer at the City of Prince George before they moved to Vancouver Island in the late 1990s.
