Two dogs and the occupant of a home are safe following a fire in Prince George's VLA area this morning (Jan. 14).
At about 7 a.m., local Fire Rescue crews responded to a reported structure blaze at 2150 Norwood St.
When the crews arrived, they found flames coming through the roof of the residence.
One occupant and two dogs were at home at the time of the fire, but the person and one dog made it out safely.
The second dog was rescued by crews, they were able to knock the fire down, but there was extensive damage to the structure.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and there were no injuries to fire personnel or the occupants of the house.
Prince George Fire Rescue has not released an estimated cost in damages.
A total of 15 firefighters from three halls responded to this incident.
