The effort to revive Downtown Prince George cleared a major hurdle, city hall said Tuesday, after a counter-petition failed to attract enough votes to force the proposal back to the drawing board.
In all 26 per cent of property owners representing 30 per cent of the assessed value in the city's central business district signed petitions against the initiative over the 30-day period, well short of half the owners representing half the value.
