Drum Run Adventure Tour is a BC fundraising tour in support of BC Children’s Hospital.
This running and drumming tour is going through some of the most beautiful cities in BC, and will also be making a difference in the lives of children by fundraising for the Child Life Department at BC Children’s Hospital.
The drum portion of the tour is hosted in 25 cities where international musician Lyle Povah invites the community for an indoor Drum Circle.
Prince George’s Drum Circle takes place Friday, Oct. 27 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Spruceland Elementary School gym, 3805 Rainbow Drive.
As the Founder and CEO of Rhythm of Life Society, Povah has launched this two-month fundraising campaign to support the BC Children's Hospital. This Tour blends the rhythmic energy of indoor community drum circle workshops held in various cities across British Columbia with invigorating outdoor distance running events that connect these communities. Through this unique fusion, participants are not only contributing to a noble cause but also enhancing their own physical and mental well-being.
The run portion of the Drum Run Adventure Tour is a 1,500-kilometre journey that Povah, also an endurance athlete and marathoner, is running, covering four tour legs: Vancouver Island, Highway of Tears, Okanagan & Lower Mainland.
Drum Run will be next week in Prince George during the second leg called The Highway of Tears when Povah will run from Prince Rupert to Prince George with stops in Terrace, Hazelton, Smithers, Burns Lake, Fraser Lake and Vanderhoof. Outdoor running with Povah within each city on the tour route can be coordinated by contacting the Drum Run Adventure Tour team.
