First Nation files court action over moly mine expansion

The Stellat'en First Nation say they have filed a petition in B .C. Supreme Court asking for a stoppage of the $498-million expansion and upgrade of the Endako molybdenum mine in northern B.C.

The Stellat'en First Nation say they have filed a petition in B .C. Supreme Court asking for a stoppage of the $498-million expansion and upgrade of the Endako molybdenum mine in northern B.C.

The First Nation said, in a prepared statement, it wants the expansion suspended until the provincial government adequately consults and accommodates its interests. Representatives of the band, west of Prince George, could not be reached for further comment.
