Fort St. John RCMP are continuing to investigate a hit-and-run collision that claimed the life of a
14-year-old bicyclist on May 11, 2010. The young man, who was not wearing a helmet, collided with a vehicle while crossing an intersection at 76th Street and 89th Avenue.
The vehicle did not stop, but proceeded west along 89th.
Police, who are requesting assistance from the public for information about the fatality and the vehicle involved, believe the vehicle is a red, mid-to-larger size model. It appears to be a "boxy"
vehicle style that is neither a car or a pickup truck, and could have damage to the passenger side.
As RCMP members of the Criminal Crash team continue to investigate, they ask anyone who witnessed the accident or were in the area at the time to call 250-787-8140.
