The Prince George Native Friendship Centre is getting another $100,000 in provincial gaming grant funds.
The centre, which provides services for aboriginal people in the urban area, will be using the money to fund a wide variety of projects, said executive director Barb Ward-Burkitt in a press release.
"We will be utilizing a portion of these funds to offset some of the costs associated with several programs that are a long-standing part of the Friendship Centre," she said.
Money will also be used to cover costs associated with providing support to families dealing with grief and loss, swimming pool passes for those participating in the Elders Wellness Program, fuel and food for the Camp Friendship summer camp programs and food for the centre's food hamper program.
