Earlier this week fire crews in Prince George attended a natural gas leak in the 1900 hundred block of Strathcona Avenue. Two fire trucks with six firefighters arrived on scene to find one Terasen Gas truck already on scene. Terasen personnel had been working on a natural gas meter when a connection broke and natural gas was released into the air. The scene was secured by RCMP and two complete units of the complex were evacuated. The natural gas line was excavated with a backhoe and the leak was stopped.
