Need to gas up your vehicle?

If the price at the pumps Friday morning at the Petro-Canada service station at Fifth and Carney is any indication, fuel prices might be about to spike in Prince George.

The price for a litre of regular jumped 13 cents overnight at the Petro-Canada at 2420 Fifth Ave., from 166.9 to 179.9. The good news is that appears to be the only station in Prince George to jack up its prices.

A drive-by survey conducted by The Citizen found most fuelling stations in the city kept their baseline price at 166.9 for gasoline.

That included Canco (122 George St.), Chevron (1480 Central St.), Esso (3333 15th Ave.) Co-op (835 Central St.), Esso (5155 Domano Blvd.) and Super Save Gas (950 Victoria St.).

If you’re looking for a deal on gas, the Super Save Gas in the BCR Industrial Site at 4832 Continental Way was priced at 164.9.

Costco was still the cheapest place to get gas at 162.9 as of Friday morning.
